Hey guys about a week ago I got this code when the check engine light went on. I cleared the code and the light was off for a week. This morningthe check engine light came back on. I haven't checked but I'm assuming it's the same thing. Anyways, I am wondering if people have had this happen to them before? And what would I have to go through to fix this

If you have everything under control you're going too slow.

Enjoy.
EDIT:
Or maybe not... quoted from text:
I didn't know that there were two codes, one for small leak and another for large leak (P0440). Scratch my original gas cap theory... But I would still check your purge valvesThe code you don’t want to see is a P0442. This indicates the system has detected a SMALL leak, but small leaks can often be a BIG problem to find.......And if you have a P0442 small leak code, you’ll probably have to take your car to a repair shop that has a smoke machine
