FIXING A BLOWN HEADGASKET (DIY)

i have a 2003 wrx with a blown headgasket and i need some help fixing it any tips, hints.

Unless you are absolutely sure that its only one side or the other, and your only replacing one side than I would keep the engine in the car, if you are planning on doing both sides I would prob. pull the engine, its 10x easier to do the work with the engine on a stand... Are you sure the HG is popped? What symptoms do you have? How many miles are on the car? 2003 was one of the years with the plauged HG issues however I have only ever seen a handful of them on the boxer turbo motors...
