I am in some serious stuff :(

Well, I am currently deployed to Afghanistan and I am coming back in a few weeks. My wife was driving my baby and the fuel lines busted and my entire engine caught on fire! Not only that, the interior dash has been melted so I know all the electrical equipment is screwed.

I need help, I dont know if I should just put in the money to fix it, or just part it out and go buy another car.

If the better option is to fix it, does anyone know a good place for parts and service in the San Diego area?

ANY input on the subject would be extremely helpful, Ill post pictures of the car for your entertainment.

Junk the car, it's not worth fixing. Get a new one.

Was your car stock or modified? I am wondering if this was caused by the fuel leak TSB issue. I have seen at least two Subaru's on fire.

Either way sorry for your loss. Hope you come back home soon.

if you have comprehensive coverage with your auto insurance you can file a claim. seeing the car in the pictures, its definetly a total loss, so you insurance company would pay you the market value of the vehicle less your deductible

    sorry to hear. good luck.

    Sorry that happened.

On another note, please don't dodge the swear filter though. Especially in a thread title.

I have no idea how the lines blew. She was just about to pull up to a parking spot in a lot and it just shut off and she started seeing smoke. I guess the firemen showed up and they took a look at the engine and saw the fuel lines. They said thats where it started
