Hello all,
As you can see I am new to this site but I am hoping you guys can help me out. I am hoping this is the best section to put this post in. Here are the car details:
2005 WRX WGN, 120 XXX kms, everything bone stock
The car is going in for warrantee work (have extended warrantee) to repair a leaking left side cam seal and shift rod seal.
What I am wondering is what else I should ask them to replace while they are in there anyways. I already thought of the timing belt and I will likely do that but I don't know what else I should be doing? A friend of mine suggested that maybe I should be having all of the cam seals, crank seal(s) and rear main seal replaced as well...?
Also; the dealer is recommending I consider replacing the rear struts since they are leaking. They quoted me $197 CAD for parts and $193 labor PER CORNER. Does that sound reasonable? I am not sure how involved that is for these cars. The struts I could likely do myself if I really wanted too, but I don't really have a garage to do it in and would rather not.
