well i bought it from someone and he said he put in a stage 2 reprogrammable computer. Is running what i have off of this bad? or am i just not getting optimal power
Im in Mass. near Boston, there is no check engine light on, and it does not come on when in boost.
Did the previous owner mention the shops name?
Edit: To expand on what I was saying. The ECU is likely tuned to run the mods the car has.
The Squealing you hear could be a host of other things, already mentioned in this thread, and you should have this issue checked out.
Has it done this sense you bought the car?
Is it a squeal or maybe more of a grinding or knocking noise?

Please read their marketing material here
In Cobb's speak there are several types of tune. The following are the most commonly talked about here.
- OTS - Off The Shelf - a stock map built in to the AP, it's a generic map made to fit most cars of a typical description.
- ProTune - A tune made specifically for a certain car by a professional.
From the description of the OTS i believe that is what he did. because he said he never hooked it up to a dyno, but he had something that told him about what was going on like a dyno would
Ya ill have to do that. So do you think its anything major?
