Where the hell is my fuse box?

So, I'm not *completely* dumb... I know where the engine bay fuses are, and I found the little thing below and to the left of the steering column labelled "fuse", but it appears to just be a hinged change holder or summat? where is the fuse panel?

Simple question, hoping for a simple answer

On the inside the fuses are behind the coin holder by your left knee. Open the door and you'll see a slot to remove the door (the part that holds coins). Inside there are fuses and the reverse side of the door has a diagramme showing what's what.

In the engine bay look near the windshield water reservoir.

ah - I did not know you had to remove the door. I'll try that out tomorrow morning, but that sounds right.
