    1000 mile break in period.....>>>>>

Our WRX just finished the 1000 mile break in, and we were wondering if we need to change the oil, or is it all good until the first scheduled oil change @ 3750 miles?

    Thanks in advance.

The 2010 manual says to service the first oil change at 3000. The dealer said 3000-3500 to me. It should be similar with your new 11'

Also, don't do synthetic even if the dealer tells you to. I believe I was stooped into buying synthetic before the motor fully broke in. I believe the first oil change on the car can be regular oil or synthetic but most recommended regular. After that, whether you want synthetic or not is up to you.
