    07 WRX turbo unusually quiet

So i've owned this car for 2 weeks , but 1 of those weeks it has been in the shop having the transmission rebuilt. Before the rebuild I noticed I would get a whirling / sucking noise from 2K RPM on and then the sound of my BPV releasing air when shifting. Sounded like a normal turbo car.

After the rebuild , while I still find the car quick , i'm definately hearing no turbo related noises. So , I'm wondering if the car is producing any boost. What is the easiest way to check boost levels? There is no boost guage.
