    Red face Car acceleration

    04wrx no mods.

Hey guys, so recently my CEL came on and i got rich system bank 1. and the mechanic said my battery also has a low charge?
So ive been waiting a bit to save up for the repair and today i started it up and the idle was irregular went up to almost 2k rpms for a sec and it also sometimes goes below 500rpms dipping slightly the shoots up and goes down. So
i take it for a test drive and it wont accelerate past 2.5 krpms seems like it wants to die and stall i guess.
And finally when i try to give it more gas past the stage were it wont accelerate my turbo spools but doesnt really do anything wont accelerate.

Soo my question is. Are the things i mentioned connected to each other ? like a bad o2 sensor? not mechanically inclined

Are you getting full boost from the turbo? If so, there is a fuel delivery issue. Either way, I wouldn't drive the car anymore until you get it looked at. It may just be something minor, but personally, I wouldn't take the chance.

You need to post the cel code so we can help you better and give history of any mods or repairs... as for the acceleration, cause of the cel code your ecu is throwing you car into limp mode to protect you engine from damage..

Sounds like the car is in a fail safe.

Check your overall Fuel Pressure, it could be fuel pump, Fuel pressure regulator, clogged return line, bad supply line, etc.

Coolant Tempature sensor (yes this can trip P0172...) make sure it's getting to the desired operating tempature when the engine is fully warmed up (Over 120F/140F)

Check for holes in the intake and the exhaust
