    uppipe install question

i have kind of a newbie question but here it goes. I ordered a new turbo for my car...well its not new, but new to me stock td04 with 20k miles on it. I figured since im going to swap that i might as well swap the uppipe and down pipe. So i go all of my parts that i ordered in waiting to be put on the car and i wanted to get a look at how they go together so i kinda sat it all out. I noticed that the up pipe doesnt match up to the turbo flange. Is there a part that goes in there that makes it mate up? it looks really off...is this normal? Thanks.

There is a gasket. What up pipe did you purchase? If you don't get help here you might post a picture to let people see what you're seeing.

uppipe is on the left, then turbo, then gasket.
