    Odd turbo sound

So, I just finished changing the clutch on my 2003 wrx. Everything seemed to be on correctly when I double checked before lowering it off the jack stands. But when I went for a short test drive I noticed a very strange noise coming from my turbo, which i haven't heard before. As soon as the car started to boost even just at 1 psi there is a very loud whining noise coming from the turbo, and its not the normal sounds that are generated. The best way i can describe it would be that it sounds like the whine of a supercharger. Its obviously the sound of the actually turbine in the turbo but why would i be hearing this and why would it be so loud? My only thought now is that something is not sealed properly. If anyone has information on this or has experienced this it would be great to hear what you know about it. Thanks.
