    Unhappy WRX idle problem?????

    i got my 02 wrx and i just put on a new hks exhaust on it, after it was all installed and everything the engine was makin the noise as if it wanted to die out kinda like puttering and plus the check engine light went on but im sure thats from the straight pipe.
    can anyboddyyy helppppp???

    I would guess that now since the O2 sensor isn't on it, the car isn't making the correct fuel to air mixture... try adjusting the throttle a little to make it idle a little higherand see if that helps as a temp fix... I would suggest possibly getting it tuned though... if you just straight piped it.. your engine is probably also not getting enough back pressure which may be that popping noise...

    But that's just what I would think
