losing a quart between changes oil!!!!what oil to use

I have a 2004 subaru wrx,i use royal purple in it, i usually take it to pep boys to get changed, but ive been noticing ive been losing about a quart in between changes and i got almost 4500-5000,and i mean i do get into the pedal, when i get on the turnpike and see no cops, its about 140, but anyways another question is, is royal purple the best out there and i also use a royal purple filter too thanks

actually royal purle is about the worst oil you could run, i personally run motul 5w30 and sounds like you might benefit from a crawford aos

well you can get it on ebay and some other speed shops but i always buy mine from hill at Agile Auto (410)877-3003 he ships it right to my door, and a crawford aos is an air oil seperator, it keeps the motor from blowing waste oil back through your intake and through your motor thus burning it and causing your loss of oil

i'm sure you can find many other cheaper brands but i love my crawford and i know it actually works so i personally wouldnt reccomend any of the others or ebay knock offs

yeah they are :x and no they arent hard to install they just take some time to figure out how to run the hoses.. and as for gauges id go with a boost an oil pressure and an exhaust temp all before the oil temp

no it doesnt amount in any horsepower gains but it does prevent detonation and will def help save your motors life in the long run
