    please help... engine problems...

Ok so i have an 06 sti with no mods and i was driving down the road and the check engine light came on. The engine wouldn't rev past 1800 and it took a long time to get even there. So i shut it off and restarted it and it was ok. Then it kept doing that till i got home. I had to keep restarting the engine to make it work. when i did eventually get home I scanned the car and it gave me error code p0122(throttle/pedal position sensor/switch A circuit low input) and p0222(throttle/pedal position sensor/switch B circuit low input). When it does stop working the car will jump to a higher idle around 1200 until i restart then it back down to about 500. Also the cruise light is blinking even when the engine is acting normal. I'm not even sure where to start with this one any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

It could be electric. Check the harness where it meet the TPS. The ECU is telling you the signal from the TPS is inadequate, so it doesn't know how to run the car because it doesn't know what position the throttle has taken. If it's not a problem in the wiring to the TPS I'd suspect the TPS itself. This is just a suspicion though.
