Unhappy Does anyone know what this noise is? :-( YouTube video...

Got this noise and it's getting worse and worse..

    Louder in 4th and 5th gear - 60 MPH +.

Quite hard to hear on the video unless you know the sound and listen out for it...

It comes on when you put your foot on the accelerator, and goes away completely when you lift off...

Had timing belt, all tensioners and water pump changed..

Tried running without alternator + A/C compressor belts on - still the noise remains

    Any ideas anyone please

Have you checked your transmission oil level?

Does it change when going around corners?

Some other things to check: Tire pressure, driveshaft boots, propeller shaft joints, wheel bearings, rear differential fluid.

I'm just making suggestions for anything that could be making noise like that. It is odd that it goes away when you let off the accelerator. I don't think it is wheel bearings (could also be cupped tires), but those wouldn't stop making noise when you let off.

I've ridden in some cars that the rear differential will make a whine when you let off the gas and coast with everything still in gear.

I was thinking on the lines of rear diff aswell, but what is strange is that the noise goes away completely if you put it in neutral and roll

I would also guess differential noise.
