BOV whistles loud after STI TMIC install

title pretty much says it all, STI TMIC with the stock WRX bov. As soon as I hit around 2 psi, it starts to scream!

Doesn't appear to be losing boost but is this okay?

Sounds like a leak to me. Did you re-use the gasket?

Sounds like it's loosing pressure somewhere.
The BPV should not make noise at any psi.

How are you measuring boost?

Are you sure it's coming from the BPV?
Did you hook the hose back up to the BPV?
Did you torque the bolts holding the BPV to spec (12ft/lbs)

i'm hitting the stock boost like I should, 14.5 or what ever it is

guess the bolts weren't torqued all the way, doesn't whistle anymore

Very strange.
Normally, it's difficult to hit target boost if there is so much air leaking from the system that the driver can hear it.
