    please help i may have just thrown away money

    a few weeks ago i purchased a cold air intake for my 02 wrx from ebay didnt pay that much for it and when i installed the intake the car wouldnt run every thing was hooked of fine including the maf sensor which is around the first bend unlike the stock box if any one has any suggestions on what the problem could be that would be greatly appreciated thank you

    what do you mean by "wouldn't run"?
    when you get a cai you gatta get a tune, your car takes in much more air and its not programed to

    As far as wasting your money, yes you probably did. I wouldn't run that without a tune to get the MAF rescaled.

    As far as the car not running, is the MAF in backwards by chance?

    The problem is that you purchased an ebay cold air intake. Turn around and sell the CAI and put your stock intake back on. Instead invest your money in the following:

    *Uppipe
    *Turbo-back exhaust
    *Tune (Opensource, Cobb, etc.)


    Also, I recommend searching around the Club a bit and reading everything you can about modifying our cars.

    Knowledge > everything.
