Ever since I went catless, my CEL will pop on when i accelerate hard, when it happens it feels like the fuel cuts out, it seems to happen between 80 and 85 mph. The light stays on, but after a few starts it clears itself. any suggestions???

Get a stage II map or tune ASAP (as said above). You can't run the car hard safely as it is now.
If that doesn't fix it get a DP with a cat and/or get an external wastegate.
This thread assumes you have a stage II map:

ok so i got an AP and tuned to stage II and im still getting the same results the code is a P0244...im guess the next step is to get an external waistgate?

Edit: my super sleuth skills indicate that you have an 06, but it's likely that the same applies to you going by a quote from their site:Please note: The catted version is recommended for the 2006-07 WRX, due to possible boost spiking while running catless

Edited prior to your reply, they mention the 06 as well. Lots of threads here and elsewhere discuss the issue.
