forged pistons stupid question but got to ask

I have a 2003 wrx which has made my life a little rough, but is there any for sure way to see if you have forged pistons without taking apart the block? I know its a stupid question, but its worth a shot.

Well i bought the car used, but a couple mechanics told me they saw fingerprint of sealer on the block as if someone took it apart and put the block back together. No one knows for sure if i have forged pistons, but they think i do.

Yeah its hard to say, why would you want to know anyway... you will only benefit from them if you planning high boost applications..

Or you just have a normal rebuilt/ used shortblock. Maybe they blew a head gasket. No way to know without pulling the heads.

You might be able to tell if you pull out a spark plug and have a quality bore scope to peek around in there...Or at least you might be able to tell if they are stock or not...
