Cooling Issue?

Hey i notice my radiator fans come on very often like every 5-10 mins. Turns on and off right away. Is that normal? My water temp gauge usually sits at 180 degrees at idle and drops to about 130-150 so i'm guessing that's normal also my temp gauge never went pass half. Just wondering if the fans are suppose to come on that often. Thanks for the help!

Your fans will turn on whenever the temp in your radiator is hot enough to require it to be cooled by the fans... The less you are driving IE less air passing the radiator (like sitting at idle) the longer they will stay on... The harder you drive, and the warmer the engine, the more the fans will come on. The hotter the air outside the more the fans will kick on...

If you not over heating dont worry about it... If your over cooling you may have an issue with your thermostat...

The fans coming on every 5 - 10 minutes is normal but your water temps aren't... At least they aren't the same as on my cars. 180 Is good/normal but that's as low as it should get...130 - 150 is way to cold for normal operating temps. 180 - 203 is the range where my cars temp range is once warmed up.
