I have religiously used Nippon's oil. They are a company from Japan. Their synthetic motor oil is marketed in North America as "ENEOS".

5W30 Synthetic. My car loves this stuff. The best part is, my car does NOT consume ANY of it. The level just stays constant. I change it every 3K Miles.

Never heard of the "texas refinery" stuff. I am sure any quality synthetic oil would serve you well if used and changed out correctly. I believe in changing oil early. Its just visual cues...as soon as its even a lil dirty looking...out it comes...and in with the fresh!

I have recently gone to Stage 2 on my 09 WRX. I have been driving it pretty hard. Not redline all day long...but hitting 5500RPM and up and just yesterday...had a look...no discoloration, no drop in level. My subie does NOT consume any of this oil. I used to use Castrol crap that Subaru pushes for god knows why...and my car would consume small amounts of it.

    ENEOS forever!!!!

    Straight up....AMAZON!!!!

I initially discovered and bought it at NAPA. I live in Canada. I paid $50 for a 1 gallon jug.

However, I have since purchased 2 boxes (that's 8 jugs...4 per box) for just over $200. It works out to just over $25 per jug.

Just seek it out on AMAZON. ENEOS 5W30 Full Synthetic. You will not regret it.

Not at all. I have been monitoring many things since getting my AP. Coolant temps, AI temps, etc.

NO change even after going to Stage 2.

As well, ENEOS is a well known brand and oil of choice by a lot of racing teams. Especially in Japan!

OK fantastic!... I am in portland and my temp runs rite at 190ish and I am hoping some hi quality oil would keep the temp even lower but definitely not higher. Also the Napa that I checked online showed 26.99 a gal. That sound rite?

I'm actually only using a gauge on my v3 access port so I'm not quite sure what is sending that temperature to me

Ah OK. Coolant temp has nothing to do with oil temp, though I can see your logic slightly...

That's a good price. As I mentioned...I buy it by the box of 4 (1 gallon jugs). I found it on Amazon for $25/box. At 26.99...its a good price.

As for the filter, I just buy a NAPA oil filter from the local NAPA store. Its like $8. Despite some people saying anything but an OEM filter will wreck your oil system, I say no. I have been using the NAPA filter since switching to ENEOS at around 40,000 miles. I have had no issues.
