hey guys I have 02 wrx stock with 78k automatic... what kind of oil should I use for the differential and transmition and how much?
Is it ok to replace the automatic tranny fluid, I was told cars (automatics) are never the same after.
    thanks

If I could I would find out the history of the car and if the trans fluid has ever been changed...If you can find a shop that has an actual transmission flush machine such as BG which cycles all the old fluid out rather than just a drain a fill which basically does nothing, fore your only really replacing about 4 quarts which is in the pan itself...I would recommend reg. Subaru ATF for the trans and personally I use Valvoline 75w90 in the front and rear diff....

use Subaru's Synthetic "Extra S" for the differentials in my opinion.
