Video: How to SeaFoam a WRX.

I made a short video over the weekend illustrating how to quickly and properly SeaFoam a WRX boxer engine. This may be useful for many new members coming over asking what the 'seafoaming' is.

I used 1/4 can the weekend before, 1/2 in the tank, and the remaining 1/4 can last weekend. It made a very noticeable difference. The engine has a very smooth feel to it now.

Thanks, I'm gonna definitely need to do that before my next emissions testing in September. The CEL came on on the way home from the testing station...

The vid won't play for some reason. It's like it's been removed or something.

    Is seafoam safe?

everything i read about turbo maintenance you never want to put something like that through your engine because it will knock some carbon loose and it will run through your turbo chewing up your fans.

The why does Subaru sell a Upper Engine Cleaner that is used for both the turbocharged and non turbocharged vehicles? It does the same thing as the Seafoam induction cleaning. Carbon is not going to get "knocked loose" as it is turned to sludge and burned up during combustion.

The smoke part is my least favorite, I have neighbors all around just right on the other side of the fence. I think it's a good idea to do it after dusk.

Sometimes google's cache servers go temporarily offline and some vids 'disappear'. It's good now, and make sure to watch in HD
