Lighter Flywheel and Engine light ???

OK guys I bought a Subaru wrx a week ago with 120000 miles on it ... The guy i bought it from said he replaced the flywheel with a lighter one and he told me the engine light will turn on ... so i bought it and yes the engine light does turn on so i brought it in and the code that poped up was all 4 cylinder misfire ... Does this make sense or should i be concerned ... and how do i fix it??

Someone correct me if I'm wrong...

But I believe, in the research of my own, this is a problem with flywheels that weigh less than 12 lbs.

Not sure if you can tune this CEL out or if you're just stuck with it.

it's not predictable by a speciffic weight... Different cars will have the problem with different weights... Generally I think it's less than 12, but some have gotten away with lighter, and some have had problems with heavier.

But the ACT "Street-Light" should not set anything off. It's 14.4lbs, but still had a noticeable difference (it's what I use)
