Whistle sound...?

Ok so I'm currently at 92k and I know my timing belt and all that jazz are coming up at 105k but I'm getting a whistle sound from the front end when it is at idle and when I start from a stop. Also when I get off work late at night and its cold its screatches. It stops if I rev the engine a bit. This is the part that confuses me, it stops but after it stops if I turn my wheel all the way to one side it will whistle like the PS or something. Please help me figure out or at least narrow down what it is. Thanks!

I have had the car since 50k and currently have 92k and I have never had any belts replaced. I'm just dreading doing the 105k.

i had the exact same problem, took the car to the dealer and they replaced the air-conditioner and alternator belts. (Vbelts)

When you install new drive belts you tighten them to spec...after they wear in they stretch a tad and loosen up over a couple weeks..this is most likely your noise...your drive belts prob. just need adjusting...
