Can't figure out what this sensor is

Any idea's? It was hanging down on the drivers side in the front of the car... I'm having a P0303 misfire.. can am wondering if this sensor might be causing it? I'm going to check my coil's and plugs later tonight as well.

by the looks and location of the connector Im going to say maybe a block heater? can you follow the wire and see where it leads to and than take a picture of that?

I highly doubt its a block heater,, I will trace the wire at both ends and post a pic of where that goes too. I've had it zip tied up just not sure where it goes. You can see it normally hanging down if your standing infront of the car.
