Generally, your clutch isn't something that goes out because somebody borrowed your car for a day. It's typically something that is a long time coming. It may be the case where he could have provided the straw that broke the camels back but chances are slim he is the primary reason it went out.

My clutch is still standing strong! Ever since that one day where I thought it was slipping it hasn't shown anymore signs....I occassionally get on it pretty hard too on the hill before my house just to make sure!

I had this same problem a few months ago. I had to get a new clutch. If you don't want to keep it stock, anytime somehing breaks on my car, I just see it as my car telling me it wants an upgrade..

And as such im currently swapping in a 6mt. haha.

I spoke to soon! Did it again but only in 5th gear!!! Errrrrrr

Same thing happened to mine. I noticed it to start to slip in 5th gear, and it slowely worked its way across all the gears. If I were to punch it like I would passing somebody, the RPMs would fly, boost would drop than it would catch, boost would return and RPMs would return. Happened for about 6 months, and I have not been able to get it to do it again. This happened in all 5 gears...

Not sure why it didnt come back, maybe a bad spot on my clutch? *shrug* I'm currently fighting a misfire on cyl 3... that was at 930 last night and I have not had time to investigate.. thank jebus I have a second car I can drive.
