    Help!oil in coolant

    hi there...
sorry to bother u but im a newb wen it comes to these engines. The oil is getting inside my coolant tank somehow. It also blows abit of white smoke as well. The engine has not lost any compression and there is no coolant mixture inside the block. The coolant is also disappearing after the car has been run for a while.
Also, how does the UVIEW COMBUSTION BLOCK LEAK TEST FOR GAS & DIESEL work? Can it find out if there is a crack in the heads or block separately or does it only indicate that theres a crack withought pin-pointing?Sorry for these newb questions but i dnt have much knowledge on these engines.

    I would appreciate any feedback

Has nothing to do with type of engine. Diagnosing this problem is the same on any engine configuration. All the UView tester does is tell you if combustion byproducts are in you coolant. It not going to tell you what cylinder. Maybe pulling the spark plugs and reading the color of the insulator might narrow down the problem area possibly.

I know it works on every engine but what i wanted to know is if it can narrow the problem down to a crack in the head gasket rather than just a crack in general but i think you've answered me that so thanks.
