08 WRX Coolant

I recently passed 30K miles in my 08 WRX... trying to decipher the maintenance schedule...

Does Subaru really recommend a coolant replacement at only 30K miles?

As pathetic as Subarus 3/36 warranty is, is Subarus coolant that bad too? Other Mfgs. have 100K coolant intervals..

The maintenance schedule says:

"Replace engine coolant inspect cooling system, hoses and connections"

The "P" is present in the 30K column.. 30K seems to to soon for a coolant replacement


I think I'll get some Fleetguard coolant from Navistar... and not worry about the coolant ever again..

Subaru has a newer coolant with ~140k mile service intervals.

I just checked my car and it has blue coolant from the factory (I have a 08 WRX).

So apparently the 140K coolant is factory fill, and Subaru hasn't updated the maintenance schedule.
