    engine rebuild research

pretty sure this has been done to death, but just doing some reseach and preparing my wallet for the rebuild. I own a 2004 wrx with 80ish thousand miles. engine completly stock except for axle back exhaust.

-what is the max HP rating on a 2004 wrx tranny? way to costly to rebuild tranny!

-not looking for gobs of HP's, but want something reliable as the stock motor, but dont want to blow a tranny either. Looking at some stroker kits for my 2.0l, and i have about $6,000 saved right now. i definitaly will change the clutch, pressure plate, and maybe flywheel since the motor will be pulled.

Just looking for a reliable motor, and want to keep it around 300-ish HP and looking for the turbo that the sti has. not looking for big HP changes for my rebuild. any suggestions?
