CEL and flashing cruise control

So I was driving from Dallas to Austin with the cruise control on. I sped up to pass some one and mid pass the car kinda jerked and the CEL came on and the cruise control light started flashing. So I instantly let off the gas and pulled over to check it out. Car was still running fine and a quick look under the hood I couldnt find anything major. So I slowly made my way to a local mechanic. He pulled the codes (I managed to get a quick glance at the computer and I think the code was P0244) and said something along the lines of a turbo solenoid (his english wasnt that great) and said the car should be safe to drive and to just do my best to keep it out of boost. after about 40 hours (many times of driving the car) the CEL turned off and my cruise control was working again . So I drove from austin to san antonio (where i live) and then the light randomly came on again the next day and my cruise control wouldnt work again. then after about another 12 hours the light was back off again. And everything was back to normal.

The car is a 06 WRX with 41,0xx miles on it. I was hoping if anyone could let me know what they think and if this would be covered under the power train warranty? Am I ok driving it around or should I not move it until I can get it over to the dealership? If it isnt covered under warranty what do you guys think im looking at cost wise to fix this?
