no no its good...its me...lol..I work for Subaru so all day im getting these cars...unless i get a specific problem with that region of the car...its hard for me to differentiate in my mind what year the change over occured..Its good though..thank you for correcting me......It also doesnt help that Subaru has like only 3 different engines in any one year...lol and every year its the same engine just another variation off the year before...

OK, So I pulled the throttle body and cleaned the piss out of it, flushed the intercooler, cleaned the MAF. It's doing A LOT better now. It still died once on the test, but one out of 10 is much better than 7 out of 10. Waiting on new Spark Plugs right now. Damn Irridium things expensive. Its idling just a bit rough, but i'm hopin the plugs solve the problem...

I'm not entirely sure what the IAT bulb is. But The MAF on my Airbox, is what got cleaned. Cleaned the plugs and the sensor inside. Was actually my Best friend that did it while i was pulling the intercooler. He's ASE certified, so I'm thinkin he did it right

I am currently having the same exact problem with my 04 STi. It started happening after i put my stock air box and cats back on. hopefully they r just dirty from sitting out so long. hopefully after i clean them it will stop cuz im in the process of trying to sell it. I will post a result.

IAT Bulb: You mean that round plastic part at the end of the MAF sensor?

BTW, I just cleaned my MAF last night. The two wires that is...

Boy was it easy. Actually it wasn't really dirty, but I had the can, so why not...

I can't believe dealerships would charge $200+ for cleaning the MAF, lol. (The local Toyota dealership wanted lots of $$$ from my wife to do our Tacoma. Hence, I bought the $5 can of CRC).

Sweet, I'm looking at cleaning the cats as a next step if plugs doesnt solve the problem. THinking about "cleaning them" entirely out.... Maybe just order a downpipe.... Let me know how it turns out!

hey guys well i was planning on cleaning my MAF cuz i was having the same issue. But for the past few days it stopped dying out on its own. lucky me i guess. i like when things fix themselves. im selling my car btw if anyone is interested.
