I've had my 2002 Impreza WRX for about two years and now I'm starting to run into problems with it. My WRX now does not start immediately, it takes a couple times to start...I guess the starter has to warm up. But, when it starts my ABS, Brake, and battery light goes on. I am able to drive a car however it obviously sounds like it is not running right. My powersteering no longer works and between gear shifting my RPMs and MPH drop to 0 on the dashboard. I was wondering if anyone could help me and try to figure out what might be going wrong with my car. Thanks

That sounds mostly electrical related, I could be wrong but I'm just saying.
How many miles on the car? Any mods?

Have a shop check the battery, the leads, and the alternator.

I'm sticking with electrical. As SD_GR said, have a shop check the battery, leads and alternator.
I would also recommend that you find the original BPV and take off that blow off, it is doing more harm than good and has no performance advantages for your car.
Check your electrical, remove BOV, reset ECU. That is a pretty good starting checklist of things to do![]()

It sounds like the Negative cable going from the battery to the body isn't making good contact.
Or the battery needs to be changed out.
+1 ditch the BOV.
Do your lights also dim at night when you step on the brakes?
