    Engine problem????

    I was driving to work and when i got to work i looked at my gauges and i saw that the check engine was on, the cruise control was flashing, and the traction symbol was on too what does all this mean?????..................I HAVE A 2008 IMPREZA WRX

    It means there is a problem and you should check your engine. If you have no modifications then it means you should immediately take it to a dealer and ask them to check it out.

    Cool then if it was purchased from a dealer then you should be covered. Take it to them. They'll hook it up to a diagnostic computer which will give them a problem code and they should be able to figure it out from there.

    The thing that sucks is that where i live the dealer ship recently went out of business so the closes one is 300 miles away 3 1/2 hr drive.......

    That does suck. If you have a auto-parts store close by then typically they may be able to pull a code for you to look up and get a clue as to why the CEL was thrown.

    Oh and btw... please don't post multiple threads for the same question. hence why your threads were merged into one.

    If it's a warranty issue then you may try calling Subaru and seeking guidance on the best way to handle it so as to make sure you keep your warranty.

    Go to auto zone, discount auto parts, or any type of auto store near you where they have an obdII scanner and have them read the codes.
