    need help i know this questions been asked probally a 1000 times

    i have 1996 Subaru impreza and its a 5 speed i need to know what oil i need for the transmission and what brands are good and how often i should change it

    80w90 should be fine...Personally I work for MS Subaru and we use Valvoline 80w90 in all the manual trans and rear diffs. I have heard good things about Redline gear oil if your looking for something that is the best....Recommended change for the trans and rear diff is every 30k miles....

    you should be able to NAPA, Cragens, and Advance Auto should all have it....or if you cant find 80w90 you can use 75w90....
