    Loud Squek.

I started my car this afternoon and there was a loud squek from my power steering. Once i pull out of my driveway it stops and doesnt come back for a few hours and then it wont stop. I checked the belts the power steering fluid and they are a fine power sterring fluid is full and the belt is not skipping on the pulley. Dont what else to check, any help would be nice. I have a 2002 Wrx.

What does "fine" mean? How old is the belt?

Did you use an authentic Subaru belt?

If so, see if the pump itself or the roller is making the noise.

If not, try an authentic Subaru bet.

The power steering pump is binding up when i start the the car, once the car is started and i start to turn the wheel fluid starts to run through it stops. When i have to do U turns it also binds up. I need to get a new power steering pump.

Well that's good to hear. It's pretty common for steering pumps to fail after donuts.

I guess you possibly need a new pump. Is there any leakage around the seals?

There was some leaks a few months ago nothing major though. I got it on a lift and fixed the leaks. The car has 139k on and i know parts wear out so i know at some point it was going to happen.

Yah i hope, now all i have to do is get a new power steering pump and get it put on, and hope that it sloves the issue.
