    2008 Wastegate troubles ???????

I own a 2008 WRX, and the wastegate is opening prematurely. The dealer just figured it out, which is why it is limiting my boost to 8 lbs.

Do you guys know if you can purchase the wastegate as a kit, or do you have to buy a complete turbo assembly?

The reason I ask is because the car is under warrenty, but it's a US car that I purchased up here in Canada, and I have to pay for the bill and submit it to Subaru USA. The turbo is a $1500 item up here.

The wastegate is part of the turbo, unfortunately if it's bad it's bad...

As I said in the other thread there is an actuator arm that you can loosen or tighten to make the wastegate open sooner or later...

    That may be an option...

I'm sure someone's got a pic somewhere around here of what it looks like or I can snap one later...
