    whats wrong with my car!

traded in a 05 lgt wagon for a 06 wrx limited with 29k

4 hours after i bought the thing it started humming
humming got much louder sounded like a can in a bike wheel
when i slowed down to a stop it clicked wicked loud.
dropped it off to the dealership with 30 miles on it

3 weeks later (yesterday) i get it back
picked up gf to go shopping and it started humming again
it started getting really loud it soulded like a truck in 4w low as if the transfer case was screwed up.
then when i pulled out of an intersection and it popped out of gear and made a loud vibrating grinding noise i was probably going 15 mph

as i caosted down a hill i had the clutch pused in and it kept jumping in and out of that humming noise as if it were catching a gear
dropped it off at the dealer with 24 miles on it

what the hell is wrong with this car i paid 18G for?!
help me soo i can tell the dealer (haddad) because obviously they cant fix ****!

what did they come up with the first time?

sounds like a tranny problem though.

how many miles where are the car when you got it/ were there any mods done to the car before that?

is the dealership your bringing it to a subaru delaership or not? if not bring it to a subaru delaership or subaru specialist.

Get a new tranny. My guess is the "pitted" bits had metal floating through the gear box causing damage. Demand a new tranny.

for 4 anti thieft lugs. but they charged me? its there fault i couldnt get it off cuz they lost it!

its not only the tranny. they said something about the viscus coupling. Also when i got it back the shifter had alot of play in it like id put it in 1st and i could jiggle it as if it were in neutral. it was like this in all 5 gears

They blamed it on me cuz im 6' they said i might of ridden the clutch. All my cars before this were stick

They tranny and center diff are expensive, they are trying to get you to admit wrong doing do they don't have to cover it. Politely talk to the service manager and explain whats going on. If he is not receptive, speak with the general manager. If he is not receptive, speak with the owner. Let them know you bought a used car from them and 100 miles later the tranny blew up still under waranty and they are trying to blame you instead of the previous owner. Usually thats as far as you need to go to get the service you need.

    Word of advise.
    1. Don't get indignant...act professional.
    2. Don't threaten litigation, that makes every door shut immediately.
    3. Calmly reinforce that you did nothing wrong, you aren't a "hot rodder" and the vehicle regardless of blame is still under factory warranty on the drivetrain until 60,000 miles.
