    check engine light question

Ok so I know when the check engine light comes on its this bright kinda orange color. But I noticed the other night when I was driving that the light isn't the bright orange but it kinda looks like its on. Almost as if my dash lights are kinda slightly lighting it up. And I dont know if thats the case. In the daytime theres nothing, doesnt even kinda look like its on. Its really bugging me and I wanted to get some input if any1 has any. I got a 04 wrx, any1 else see this on there dash at night?? It even almost seems like it slightly gets alittle brighter the longer I drive but deffinetly not that normal bright orange. So any comments would be great. Thanks!!

When you get a CEL, the cruise control light should be flashing as well.

The CEL is not worth bothering with. and why...

CEL in the dash cluster is a p.o.s. annoyance that causes dyno shops to have to stop testing. A real OBD scan tool with an attractive dash mount is the real solution. Tuning and readout sure beats an idiot light for the days you don't tighten your fuel cap enough (for the computer to respond accordingly). As soon as my AutoMeter two pod dash cluster bezel gets here, job one is getting rid of mine, which since the ECU has been recieved back from JET Performance has been on.
