    dim headlight...

    I don't know if this has been answered before but I only have an iPhone so it's too slow to look through this whole site... But I have an 02 wrx and my driver side headlight is dim... I have tried messing around with the wires but it's annoying and I was wondering if anyone could help me out thanks

    some pics would help.... is it dim because the plastic on the headlight is foggy or is the light output itself dim??

    If its foggy, then the lens is scratched/old.

    If its actually dim, then your ground has gone bad. Either where it meets the car, or where you screw the bulb into its holder...

    Ya it's not foggy it dim and on my instrument cluster the high beam light is on...

    The bulbs are brand new... I know it's not the bulbs

    Sounds like you have some wiring 'issues' and you should perhaps visit a repair facility.
    I work on vehicles that make 650hp and 2400ft/lbs.

    sticking by my initial assessment. Clean the holder (where you snap the bulb in) with electrical cleaner. follow the ground wire back from the harness that you plug into the bulb. I don't remember how the bulb is grounded in wrx's, haven't had that issue yet
