Boost cutting and car shuddering between 3-5k rpm

    Hey guys,
So ive just bought myself a 1999 MY00 WRX...Friggen awesome car, ive had a Twin turbo Legacy RS before and stoked im in a Rex now!
Problem is everytime i give it some toe, it seems sweet up untill bout 4000 revs, then feels like it completely losses boost, and shudders.
Ive just had a 3" full exhaust system from the downpipe bolted on so i have a feeling that may have something to do with it.It has no other Mods.
I got the exhaust on before i got it, so not to sure it was doing it before tho. I spoke with the previous owner and he said he remembers it doing something like that when he first got it, but said when he changed to a different fuel it went away.

Just wondering if any one could throw some light on it, that would be great!

    Solution:

After alot of ****ing around,(Even Zupps Subaru couldnt help me...useless) finally figured the problem thanks to Chip Torque!!
Apparently my model of WRX is known for the Air Flow meters farking up. So Just simply replace with a new one!

Just wanna say thanks again to Chip Torque...you know your ****e!..and Zupps Subaru....you are gay!
