Question about my experience with my subaru

    hi everyone,
I was hoping to get some feedback with a certain noise i have been hearing in my wrx. I own a 02 Wrx and i have the stock rims and tire ( michiellen). I notce a whoa whoa whoa sound when driving the vehicle but there is no shaking or drifting on the steering wheel. I'm afraid this is a serious problem or just simply the tires. Any suggestion will be deeply appreciated thank you. Thank you

Those are not the stock tires. BTW the stock tires were crap anyway though.

Is the noise coming from all 4 corners or just one or two? It could be a bad belt on a tire - if you rotate the tires then you should hear it move location. Otherwise it could be your bearings or your cv joints (among other things).

the noise is mainly coming from the front driver side tire. I bought the car used and these were the tires given to me by the dealer. Should i be highly concerned?

Wheel bearing? CV boot/joint? Check underneath for grease spray.

You should determine the cause. Rotate the tires and see if the noise comes from the back. If so, inquire with the dealer to see if you can get the tires warrantied. If it is not the tires I would definately follow up on it.

when you have the car in the air to rotate the tires.....i would shake down the front end and see if you get any play.....3&9 for tie rod ends 12&6 for ball joints...and if you have excessive play in both directions chances are its a wheel bearing.....oh also im sure you have already done this but make sure your tires are inflated properly....
