Bridgestone Blizzaks!

have u used them before? I read overviews and they did not come up so hot. what about pirelli or dunlop?
I am a HUGE fan of nokian's. I used blizzaks for 4 years, and yes they are really great tires, but once they wear to 50% they run like normal all seasons. Nokian's had amazing traction... it's unbelievable how much they grip in the snow. They also lasted longer than the blizzaks.
My driveway is long, uphill, and is a sheet of ice all season (we put down 400lbs salt per application for reference).
I picked up a set of ASA JH3 wheels (they clear the Brembos on my '05) and Blizzak REVO1 tires for $1000 new.
My family ran Blizzaks for nearly a decade, and have recently begun running Nokian Hakkapeliittas. The only downside to Blizzaks is that I need to replace them biannually, because the last part of the tread is awful, as Rubicon said.
Dunlop Wintersports are pretty good as well.
