How to Fix Vibration from Front Door Speakers?

There's a couple of threads about this, but none of them had conclusive advice on how to fix the vibration. Service bulletins are hard to obtain without paying for them. My car is only in powertrain warranty mode, so taking it to the dealership may cost me.

Basically, when music with moderate bass is played, the passenger front speakers vibrate. It sounds like either the tweeter near the door handle or the midrange/woofer in the door. Very nasty sounding.

What causes this and what is the fix, with possible references to the technical service bulletin? Thanks!

I know exactly what you're talking about; in my 2005 to combat the problem I would just stick my 50-CD case in the side pocket there, it seemed to keep that area nice and tight and remove the rattling.

I know thats ghetto and not a permanent fix, but if you are as annoyed as I was by it, its better than nothing.

I think its the plastic side pocket on the door that makes the rattle, the speaker is right there and its flimsy plastic. Grab that pocket when you have bass going and see if it stops the rattle, I bet it will.....

Thanks for the tip, I will try that. However, what is a more permanent fix that the TSB call for? Somebody's got to know!

call the dealer and ask if it will cost you. I don't believe a TSB would cost anything more than 20.00 on something like that.
