    brake fluid is a hoax?

yetserday i was with my girlfriend getting her oil changed at jiffy lube.
i struck up a conversation with the manager about brake fluid. i told him i had a 06 wrx and asked him what he would reccomend for changing my brake fluid. he said he went to school and specalized in braking systems and told me that changing your brake fluid is a waste because the fluid never goes bad. i said what about water absortion ect.. and he replied its not worth it.
whats the deal? is brake fluid a hoax or do i really need to replace it.

not to mention the guy you talked to. if he specialised in school for breaking systems than i doubt he'd be livin the life at a jiffy lube lol. i say do what ya been doing i change my break fluid anually, or when i blow or accidentally cut a break line haha.

or maybe the JL guy is right and break fluid is just one of those big scams the government is running.

    Headlight fluid is a hoax.

Brake fluid is not a hoax.
Subaru recommends the brake fluid be changed every 30k miles or every two years. I didn't track my car, but I defiantly noticed a positive difference with new fluid.

He's right. Brake fluid doesn't even exist.
