    Unhappy Funny Noise Problem

I have a weird problem that i think i can narrow down to 2 things but im just after a little help / advice as i cant get my car into the garage for another 3 weeks

    i have a 95 GC8 Impreza WRX

and after driving for about 15mins (especially after driving it fast) the cars steering goes hard (or at least harder than normal) and theres a sound that can only be described as "radio controlled car" sounding coming from the engine bay when turning or accelerating / de-accelerating...

i figure its either the clutch (as ive heard clutches sound similar like that before) but that doesnt account for the steering going harder so my other theory is the power steering pump?

has anyone else had any similar issues and could point me in the right direction? PS Fluid is ok etc etc

many thanks in advance for any help offered its greatly appreciated.

Sounds like the power steering pump impeller has either begun to seize or the bearings are going out on it.

    I dunno though.

The clutch shouldn't effect the steering at all...
