I think the plan right now is to get an EJ25 from my buddy & put that in for now so I can still drive it. Then me and the mad scientist got to rip apart the block... and replace the,.... I mean,.... I'll probably rebuild the EJ20 motor & get some better pistons, rods, etc. It'll be a project motor for a bigger turbo upgrade. Or i'll sell it. I don't really know yet.
When you get it installed, LMK - if I have time, I'll try to swing out your wayOriginally Posted by 20WRX04

what a n00b. Only idiots blow up their motors
Good reads Tim. The pics were gone from your build thread but i'm sure it's still as strong as when you got it back. I'll build my EJ20 in my spare time as my sponsor (bank account) doesn't allow for a $3000 build budget.
I think i'm going to just get the EJ25 from my buddy for now considering he only wants $400 for it! I do need to get some heads for it though. Do the EJ20 heads work with the EJ25?
Ok, answering my own question here... I wouldn't want to put EJ20 heads on an EJ25. So now I have to get STi heads that run about $500 each new. Maybe I will just build my motor now. What to do? What to do? There's always my other sponsor, Capital One!!!
