    Nice

I may be out your way sometime soon - my sister is going to FL, and needs the 'rents to take her dog. Not sure if she's bringing her here or we're going out there.

If we're picking her up, I'll buy you a beer

Ok, got the EJ25 block apart & rebuilt with ACL bearings, new piston rings & oil pump so far. Took the exhaust manifold & oil pan off the EJ20. Found some copper shavings in the oil strainer. Rod #2 seems a little loose. That may be the culprit. We'll see for sure when I tear it apart after I finish the motor build.

    It's looking good, Dan!

Unfortunately, my sister is dropping her dog off at my house instead of us picking her up. I won't be out your way in the next few weeks.

Hopefully, you'll be back up and running again when I am able to get out there

Thanks. I hope your not driving it if it's knocking. It's very possible that you could throw a rod through the block. Good luck.

So we tore the rest of the EJ20 motor apart. It was definately the #2 rod bearing. It was folded over on the edges. It's kind of hard to see it in the pics. The heads are getting ported & polished. I hope to get everything back together next week. I also bought a new stock clutch & flywheel.

No bong hits for me. Oh wait, does saturday night count? I'm just waiting for my buddy to get some time to get the motor back together. I painted some parts black & will hopefully be painting the whole motor before we put it back in.

    Thanks.

Before I could paint the motor, my buddy put everything back together. Oh well. It looks like she'll be good to go by saturday. I've got a safe map till I can get out to Buffalo for a tune. I just have to install the EGT & WBO2 sensors/gauges in the meantime.
