    It happened over time from the modifications I had. I never beat on the car or over revved her at all. It's just one of those things. You play, you pay. A lot in this case.

    Indeed. I'm glad I have the Legacy.
    No Dom tune for me. I'll either find someone online or go see Mike at Innovative.

    how noticeable is it when your engine knocks? Curious, ive never personally experienced it. My engine taps, infact all of the imports ive owned did...im guessing this is piston slap.

    So it looks like early next week i'll be pulling the motor. I've decided to go to Innovative for tuning. I've already talked to Mike & he's going to make me a base map to drive around with till I can get out there. Here are some pics of the new GrimmSpeed parts.

    Thanks. The motor is still intact. I'm not pulling anything off of it until she gets to my buddy's house on monday. She hopefully should be up & running by the weekend. Wish me luck.

    EJ20 heads
    SSAC BBE coated TMIC
    Dom BCS
    Samco rad hoses
    ACL main bearings
    ACL rod bearings
    Autometer WBO2 & EGT gauges & sensors
    GrimmSpeed p/p/c exhaust & intake manifolds
    GS 3mm phenolic spacer
    GS TGV deletes
    GS UP
    Innovate WBO2 controller
    WRX 1 step colder plugs
    STi cams
    STi oil pump
    STi timing belt
    STi Group N motor & tranny mounts
    and all the necessary gaskets, seals, belts, etc from the dealership
