    HID problem

Hi, I just put on some 10k HID's on my 07 wrx. They work fine and all but they will not turn off. The only way the turn off is if i turn the light lever to the off position and have the handbrake pulled up. If i drive around they are always on, regardless wether or not the switch is off kinda like the daytime running lights. Any ideas?

    Thanks

You have apparently not disabled the daytime running lights.

I see....where is that exactly? Or how would I go about disabling the daytime lights? Why is it linked to my main headlights because the stock bulbs didnt exactly do this to me?
    Thanks for the response

Your previous statements indicated the stock bulbs did in fact behave the same way.

No problem, good luck. Previous years were easier to deal with. I'd not do anything I could not easily reverse, as the second thread is quite long and several people take different approaches. Careful.

right. After reading through most of the possible fixes I found the right one for me. Turns out the 07's were a bit trickier to take off DRL's.

    I used this:
    http://www.clubwrx.net/forums/1987347-post1.html
    and this:
NASIOC - View Single Post - 2007 DRL disable different than 2006?

for reference and about 30 minutes later I had finished. The pin actually got jammed so that took the longest because I had to find a gentle way to ease it out. My DRL's are gone, the "always on HID's" are also gone. Everything worked out. Thanks again
